Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Mirror'd is operated by Lavvel ("we", "us"), based in Ghana. Mirror'd lets you see clothes on yourself using AI. This page explains what we collect, why, and what happens to your photos — including the sensitive parts, since we deal directly with photos of your face and body. Our customers use Mirror'd from many countries, and this policy is written to cover that.

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you log in, to identify your account and credits.
  • Photos you upload or capture — of yourself and of garments — to generate a try-on preview or outfit suggestion.
  • Browser extension (optional): if you use the Mirror'd browser extension, choosing "Try on with Mirror'd" on a clothing image opens mirrord.app with that image's web address, so we can load the item for you. The extension itself stores nothing and sends nothing in the background. The address is treated like any other garment image you provide, and may appear in routine hosting logs.
  • Payment information, when you buy a plan or credits. We never see or store your card, mobile money, or bank details — that's handled entirely by our payment providers (Paystack and, where available, Stripe).
  • Basic usage data (which pages you visit, which features you use) via Vercel Web Analytics, not tied to your name or email.
  • Feedback you submit through the feedback button, sent directly to us.

Your photos — the sensitive part

Photos of your face and body can be treated as sensitive personal data in some countries, even though Mirror'd only uses them to generate a picture of you in different clothes — it doesn't identify you or match you against any database. To be safe rather than assume, we treat every photo you upload the same careful way, and by uploading one, you give us your explicit consent to process it as described here. You can withdraw that consent at any time by not uploading further photos and deleting anything already stored (see "Your choices" below) — this won't affect anything already generated.

When you generate a try-on or outfit preview, your photo and the garment photo are sent to a third-party AI image provider (FASHN AI and/or Replicate) to produce the result, and to Anthropic (maker of Claude) for text-based styling suggestions. We don't store your photos on our own servers — they pass through to the AI provider and back to your device for that one request. We never sell your photos or use them to train AI models.

If you use features like My Closet, Lookbook, or Save as my photo, those images are saved only in your own browser's local storage — not on our servers. Clearing your browser data or switching device/browser will remove them.

Account data (plan & credits)

Once you log in with a real account, your email address and your plan/credit balance are stored securely with our database provider, Supabase. This is the only account information kept server-side.

Who we share data with

We only share what's needed to run the service:

  • FASHN AI and Replicate — to generate try-on images.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — to generate styling text suggestions.
  • Supabase — to store your account, plan, and credits.
  • Resend — to deliver the login-link emails we send to your email address.
  • Shopify — only to fetch our product catalog; your data is never sent to Shopify.
  • Paystack, and where available Stripe — to process payments.
  • Vercel — to host the app and record anonymous usage analytics.

We don't sell your personal data to anyone, ever, and we don't use it for direct marketing without your separate, specific consent.

Where your data is processed

We're based in Ghana, but our service providers run infrastructure in other countries too (including the United States). That means your data, including your photos in transit, may be processed outside the country you live in. We only work with providers who handle data securely, and this policy applies wherever your data is processed.

Your choices and rights

  • You can clear anything saved in your browser (Closet, Lookbook, saved photo) at any time from your browser's settings.
  • You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your account and associated data by contacting us (below).
  • You can object to or ask us to limit how we process your data, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • You can stop using the service at any time — nothing keeps running in the background.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Ghana, that's the Data Protection Commission.

Data retention

We don't store your uploaded photos on our servers at all — they're only ever passed through to generate one result. Account data (email, plan, credits) is kept while your account is active, and deleted on request. Browser-stored data (avatar, Closet, Lookbook) stays on your device until you clear it yourself.

Age

Mirror'd is only for people who are at least 18 years old, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
